Taylor Childs is a Detroit based artist, designer, and educator working across textiles, fashion, and mixed media. Working as a griot and archivist, they transform family histories, domestic imagery, class/systems, and objects into fiber based works and wearable art. Through fashion, installation, and education, Taylor creates immersive experiences that explore identity, resilience, ancestry, and collective memory while fostering creativity, mentorship, and community connection.
