Big Brothers Big Sisters is thrilled to launch Jingle Bells & Power Cords – The BIG Holiday Battle of the Bands, a brand-new virtual tournament celebrating the music of the holidays — and the music that made you. We’re on the hunt for 8 show-stopping bands to compete in a fast-paced, high-energy competition to raise funds and awareness for life-changing youth mentorship.

 HOW IT WORKS

  • Week 1: 8 bands go head-to-head in holiday showdown matchups
  • Week 2: The top 4 bands advance to face off in the semi-finals
  • Week 3: The final 2 duke it out for the title — and the cash prize
  • Each band will submit one music video, featuring your reimagined take on a holiday classic. No cookie-cutter covers here — we want you to remake the song in your own voice and style. Think indie “Let It Snow,” metal “Frosty the Snowman,” or funk “O Holy Night.” Take a holiday tune we all know and give it a total glow-up that only your band could pull off

VOTING = FUNDRAISING

  • Each band gets a dedicated campaign page, provided by us. Fans, friends, and BBBS supporters will vote with their wallets — every $1 = 1 vote. The band with the most votes in each matchup advances to the next round. The further you go, the more exposure you get.

    🏆 Winner takes home 10% of all funds raised, and the runner-up takes 5%. Plus: bragging rights for life.

HOW TO APPLY.

Submit the following:
  1. Performance Video – A recent or favorite video that captures your energy and sound
  2. Holiday Cover Concept – What holiday song are you thinking about covering, and how do you plan to put your own spin on it? (Don’t worry — you can change your mind later!)
